Biography:

The Arac Lab aims to understand the brain-behavior relationship by using the motor system as a model. We use skilled motor tasks in rodents and humans. We have developed tools using deep learning algorithms to track 3D kinematics of these movements to perform detailed behavioral analysis. We also use cutting-edge in vivo electrophysiology and two-photon imaging techniques to record the neural activity, and manipulate it in a closed-loop manner in behaving animals. We then perform computational modeling to connect the behavior with neural activity patterns.
